# What goes into the CBAM figure for DAP made at Aqaba?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/aqaba-dap-exporter-cbam-figure

DAP is a CBAM good. Its figure includes the plant's direct emissions, electricity, and the embedded emissions of ammonia used, which is usually bought in. Phosphoric acid is not a CBAM good, so its energy enters only through the DAP plant's own fuel and power.

## Precursors

Ammonia is a CBAM precursor for DAP. Ask the ammonia supplier for its embedded emissions, or use the EU default, which is usually higher.

## Direct and indirect

- Fuel for granulation and drying.
- Steam, if raised on site.
- Electricity, which counts for fertilisers.

## Phosphoric acid

Not listed in CBAM. If made on site, its fuel and power are part of the installation and need a clear boundary.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps each site's fuel, power and production records together, so the embedded emissions you send an EU importer trace back to dated documents.
