# Are aluminium ladders and other aluminium articles covered by CBAM?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/are-aluminium-ladders-covered-by-cbam

Yes. Other articles of aluminium under CN 7616, which includes ladders, are CBAM goods. Their figure is the maker's own direct emissions plus the embedded emissions of the aluminium profiles or sheet used. Check the exact code with your customs broker.

## Covered

- 7616: other articles of aluminium, including ladders.
- 7604 and 7608: bars, profiles and tubes used to make them.
- Electricity is not counted for aluminium.

## Building the figure

Add the embedded emissions of profiles bought in, by weight, to fuel burnt in your plant, and divide by product weight shipped.

## Mixed products

Ladders with steel or plastic parts are still classified by their main material; confirm the code first.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads fuel, electricity and production documents into dated, fingerprinted installation records, the starting point for the actual emissions an EU importer asks for.
