# What did BEE's MSME energy mapping study cover, and is my sector included?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/bee-msme-energy-mapping-study-clusters

BEE mapped energy use in 55 MSME clusters with more than 550 detailed audits across foundry, forging, paper, steel re-rolling, pharma, bricks, glass and refractory, chemicals, food processing, textiles and leather. A further 15 clusters in textiles, food processing and leather are being mapped with over 150 audits.

## Completed study

- 55 energy-intensive MSME clusters.
- More than 550 detailed energy audits.
- Sectors: foundry, forging, paper, steel re-rolling, pharma, bricks, glass and refractory, chemicals, food processing, textile and leather.

## Ongoing study

- 15 clusters in textiles, food processing and leather.
- More than 150 detailed energy audits.

## What follows from it

- Scaling up efficiency and renewable technologies in foundry, forging, steel re-rolling and paper.
- Urja Mitra: an experienced certified energy auditor placed in a cluster to advise units and link them with BEE.
- Support through state designated agencies for audits, demonstrations and capacity building.

## Where to find the material

BEE hosts reports and resources for MSMEs on its SIDHIEE knowledge portal and the SME programme pages.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible gives a unit its own energy per tonne or per piece from its bills, which it can compare with what cluster studies report for its sector.
