# How do I verify a Senseible carbon certificate on the blockchain?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/blockchain-carbon-certificate

Senseible does not issue blockchain certificates or carbon tokens. Each record is backed by a SHA-256 fingerprint of the original document, its emission factor and source, and the methodology version, which anyone with the record can check.
