# What carbon data does a Brescia arc furnace mill want from ferroalloy suppliers?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/brescia-mill-ferro-alloy-supplier-carbon-data

Ferroalloys are CBAM goods, so the mill or its importer needs embedded emissions per tonne, by installation and period. For the mill's own product footprints it also wants electricity and reductant use, since alloys add notable emissions per tonne of low carbon steel.

## For CBAM

- Specific direct embedded emissions per tonne of alloy.
- Indirect emissions, reported separately.
- Installation, period and verification.

## For the mill's footprint

Electricity per tonne and its source, plus transport to the mill. Scrap based steel has a low footprint, so alloys and electrodes become a visible share.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads your electricity bills and fuel invoices into Scope 1 and 2 records with the factor and source on each line, the site data a buyer questionnaire starts from. It does not produce verified product footprints or fill a buyer's portal for you.
