# Do we list our industry association memberships in the BRSR, and how many?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/brsr-trade-association-affiliations-top-10

Yes. Principle 7 asks for the number of trade and industry chambers or associations you belong to, then a list of the top 10, ranked by the total members of each body, with its reach as State or National. If you belong to fewer than ten, list them all.

## What Principle 7 Essential Indicator 1 asks

1. The number of affiliations with trade and industry chambers or associations.
2. A list of the top 10, determined by the total members of each body, naming the body and its reach: State or National.

## The ranking rule people miss

The top 10 is picked by how large the association is, meaning its total members. It is not picked by how much you pay it, how often you attend, or how useful it is to you.

## Fewer than ten

The table has ten rows, but the question only asks for the top 10 of the bodies you belong to. With five memberships, five rows is a complete answer.

## What to gather

- Membership certificates or renewal receipts for the financial year.
- Each body's member count, from its website or secretariat.
- Whether each operates in one state or across the country.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible does not track memberships. It builds the energy and emission records for the environment principles in the same report.
