# What carbon data do EU buyers want from a Bursa textile mill?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/bursa-textile-mill-buyer-carbon-data

Usually Scope 1 and 2 emissions for the mill, split by site, and a figure per kilogram or metre of fabric for the products they buy. Textiles are not CBAM goods, so this is buyer-driven Scope 3 data, built from gas, steam and electricity bills and your production register.

## The usual request

- Scope 1: natural gas, coal or fuel oil burned in boilers and dryers.
- Scope 2: purchased electricity and steam.
- Production for the same period, in kg or metres.
- The method and factors used, so the buyer can check them.

## Per product

Divide each site's emissions over its output using kg or metres, or machine hours where products differ a lot. State the basis next to the figure.

## Not CBAM

Textiles are outside Annex I of the CBAM Regulation. Buyers ask because their own Scope 3 includes purchased goods.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads electricity bills (CEA grid factor 0.710 kg CO2 per kWh, CO2 Baseline Database version 21.0) and diesel, LPG and gas invoices (IPCC 2006 defaults) into a dated, fingerprinted Scope 1 and 2 record for each site. Intensity per unit uses the activity count you enter, and estimates are labelled as estimates.
