# Our buyer wants copies of our electricity bills as proof. Should we share them?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/buyer-wants-copies-of-our-electricity-bills

You can share them, but you do not have to send everything. Offer bills with tariff details or consumer numbers masked, or a summary of units per month with a verifier's or auditor's check. Agree confidentiality terms first.

## Options

- Masked copies showing units and period.
- Monthly unit summary signed by your auditor.
- Read-only access to your records for a limited time.

## What to protect

Tariff rates, consumer and account numbers, and anything that reveals your costs.

## Put it in writing

Use the buyer's confidentiality clause or an NDA, and limit use to carbon reporting.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
