# We are a buying agent on commission. Do the goods we source count in our emissions?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/buying-agent-emissions-which-scope

Not as purchased goods. If you never buy or own the goods and earn a commission, they are your client's purchases, not yours. Your inventory covers your offices, travel to factories and courier of samples. Buyers may still ask you to collect supplier data on their behalf.

## What you report

- Office electricity and any generator fuel.
- Travel to suppliers and fairs.
- Samples and courier shipments you pay for.

## If you take title to goods

If you buy and resell, you are a trader, and the goods are your Scope 3 Category 1.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
