# What goes into the CBAM figure for aluminium from Cameroon?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/cameroon-aluminium-smelter-cbam-figure

Direct emissions per tonne: CO2 from anode consumption and fuels, and perfluorocarbons from anode effects. Hydropower supply matters for buyers' footprints but is not charged for aluminium. Without the smelter's figures, an EU importer must use the default value, which is usually higher.

## Records

- Net anode consumption per tonne.
- Anode effect frequency and duration.
- Fuel invoices for casting and anode baking.

## For importers

Ask for installation details and the monitoring method along with the figure.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads fuel, power and production records into dated, fingerprinted installation records, the starting point for the actual emissions your EU importer asks for.
