# How do we explain Scope 1, 2 and 3 to our staff in Hindi?

Keep it to what staff handle. Scope 1 is ईंधन जो हम खुद जलाते हैं (fuel we burn ourselves), Scope 2 is खरीदी गई बिजली (electricity we buy), and Scope 3 is बाकी सप्लाई चेन (the rest of the supply chain). Tie each term to a bill they already file.

## Simple Hindi terms

- उत्सर्जन (utsarjan): emissions.
- Scope 1: डीज़ल, पेट्रोल, LPG, कोयला जो हमारी मशीनों में जलता है.
- Scope 2: बिजली का बिल.
- Scope 3: खरीदा गया माल, ढुलाई, कर्मचारियों का आना जाना.
- उत्सर्जन कारक (emission factor): हर लीटर या यूनिट पर कितना CO2.
