# Our bills and invoices were lost in a fire or flood. Can we still report emissions?

Yes. Rebuild what you can: duplicate bills from the discom portal, invoice copies from suppliers, and your GST purchase records. Estimate the gaps from months you still have, mark them as estimates, and note the event and date so a verifier understands the gap.

## Where copies live

- Discom consumer portal: past bills.
- Suppliers: copies of fuel and material invoices.
- GST portal: your purchase register, to list what you bought.

## Filling the gaps

Use the average of comparable months, adjusted for production if it changed. Label each estimate and keep the method on file.

## For next time

Keep a digital copy of every bill outside the premises.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps every bill, invoice and calculation in one dated, fingerprinted record, so the evidence behind each figure can be found again by anyone who checks it.
