# I found a mistake after submitting my CDP response. Can I still fix it?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/cdp-fix-response-after-submitting

Yes, until the final disclosure deadline. In CDP's 2026 cycle you could amend a submitted response in the Portal until the week of 26 October, but only amendments re-submitted before the scoring deadline, 16 September, counted toward your score. Only the Submission Lead can reopen the response and re-submit it.

## How to amend

1. The Submission Lead logs into the CDP Portal and selects 'Yes, edit submission' on the Questionnaire page.
2. Anyone on the team can then edit the sections that need correcting.
3. The Submission Lead selects 'Submit edits', completes the submission steps and selects 'Submit Questionnaire'.

## What you can change

- Any answer in the questionnaire.
- Your requests: accept or decline late ones. After accepting a late request, re-submit your questionnaire setup so the right requesters and questions show.
- Edits count only once re-submitted. If you edit but do not re-submit, CDP scores the response as you last submitted it.

## Will the fix change my score?

Only if it was re-submitted before the scoring deadline. CDP scores the latest response submitted by then. Changes submitted after it, up to the final deadline, are accepted but not scored, so your score stays based on the earlier version even though the response itself is corrected.

## Public or non-public after an amendment

A public response stays public. A non-public one can stay non-public or be switched to public; if you switch, both the original and the amended response become public.

## The 2026 dates, as CDP published them

- 16 September: scoring deadline; edits re-submitted by then are scored
- 29 September: last day to request one of a limited number of scoring deadline extensions
- Week of 26 October: final disclosure deadline; edits accepted until then, not scored

Dates change each cycle. Check the current disclosure timeline in the CDP Help Center.

## What Senseible does here

If the mistake was in your emissions figures, Senseible can rebuild Scope 1 and 2 from your fuel invoices and electricity bills, with the factor and source for every line, so the corrected answer has its evidence behind it.
