# Will CDP pre-fill this year's questionnaire with last year's answers?

Partly, and only once. CDP says that if you responded in 2025, your 2026 questionnaire may be pre-filled with select responses, but only the first time you submit your questionnaire setup. Content left unselected then may not be pre-filled later, so select every relevant issue before that first submission. Re-submitting setup later does not delete answers.

## Get the most pre-filled

1. Before submitting setup for the first time, opt into climate change disclosure and any other environmental issues you answered last year.
2. Answer 'Yes' to both setup questions on forests and water security disclosure, if those apply to you.
3. Check your size, revenue, headcount and activity classification, since they decide which questions appear.
4. Then submit setup. That first submission is the one that brings last year's answers across.

## If you change setup later

- You can edit and re-submit setup at any time before the deadline, for example after a new customer request.
- Answers already entered are kept, though the questions shown may change.
- Content you did not select at the first submission may not be pre-filled now.

## Who does what

Any user on your CDP account can complete and submit the questionnaire setup. Only the Submission Lead, who takes on that role themselves, can submit the final response.

## Pre-filled is not finished

Pre-filled answers are last year's. Your emissions, energy, targets and progress must describe this reporting year, so go through every pre-filled answer before submitting.
