# Can we name our sustainability head in the CDP response?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/cdp-response-no-personal-names-positions-only

No. CDP says not to include the name of any individual or other personal data anywhere in the response. Where a question asks about staff, give only the position, such as Managing Director or Head of Operations, with no name or other details.

## What CDP says

The SME questionnaire overview 2026 asks you not to include the name of any individual or other personal data in your response. For questions about staff positions, it asks only for the position, out of respect for personal data privacy.

## How to answer

- Governance questions: write the role, for example Managing Director, Plant Head or Head of Sustainability.
- Free-text boxes: re-read them before submitting. Names slip in through phrases like "as Mr Rao explained".
- Contact fields in the portal are separate from the questionnaire answers.

## Other notes from the same page that cause errors

- A blank answer reads as not disclosed. Zero means you measured and it was zero. If you did not measure, leave a numeric field blank and explain in the text box.
- Avoid your own acronyms, or explain them.
- Comment columns are not scored.
- Character limits include spaces.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps the evidence behind your numbers, such as bills and invoices, in your account, so the CDP answers stay free of people's names and the file trail stays with you.
