# Can an Indian company share its CDP score with investors or on its website?

With limits. CDP's 2026 Terms of Disclosure say an India-based discloser must not use its score for ESG investment decisions, analysis, compliance or research, which CDP calls Restricted Use, or share it with any Indian resident that permits such use. Wherever you show the score, including your website, you must add a link to CDP's Disclosure Statement.

## What clause 13.4 says

If you are based in India, you must not use your score for decision making, investment analysis, compliance or research purposes related to ESG investment, performance and practices. You also may not disclose or share it in any way with any Indian resident individual or entity that permits any of those uses.

## What clause 13.5 adds, for everyone

Each time you disclose your score to any third party, including on your website, the same page, email or document must carry a link to the Disclosure Statement on CDP's website, published under Article 24(2) of the EU ESG Ratings Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2024/3005).

## How to read it before you hit send

- Supply chain customers who requested you through CDP can already be given your score by CDP under clause 13.3; you need not send it yourself.
- An Indian investor, fund, analyst or rating firm that would use the score for ESG investment analysis or research is the case clause 13.4 describes. Do not send it.
- A buyer outside India is not an Indian resident, so the sharing limit in 13.4 does not reach it, but clause 13.5 still applies: include the link.
- If you cannot tell how a recipient will use it, ask CDP before sharing. The terms do not list who counts.

## Before the score goes on your website

1. Put the link to CDP's Disclosure Statement next to the score, on the same page.
2. Do the same in sales decks, tender replies and email signatures that show it.
3. Keep it off material made for Indian investors or ESG analysts.
4. Re-read the terms each year; CDP issues them per disclosure cycle.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible does not handle CDP scores. It prepares the Scope 1 and 2 figures from your fuel invoices and electricity bills, with factors and sources, that go into your CDP response.
