# Did CEA version 22.0 change the grid factors for earlier years?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/cea-version-21-vs-22-grid-factor-revisions

No, not at the published precision. The FY 2024-25 weighted average stays at 0.710 t CO2 per MWh in both versions, the combined margin stays at 0.736, and FY 2021-22 to FY 2023-24 are also unchanged. Version 22.0 adds FY 2025-26 at 0.675, so past footprints need no restating.

## Weighted average, t CO2 per MWh

- FY 2021-22: 0.711 in both versions
- FY 2022-23: 0.716 in both
- FY 2023-24: 0.727 in both
- FY 2024-25: 0.710 in both
- FY 2025-26: 0.675, new in version 22.0

## Margins for FY 2024-25

- Operating margin 0.961 in both versions
- Build margin 0.512 in both
- Combined margin 0.736 in both

## What this means

Version 22.0 recalculated FY 2024-25 with actual captive power data, but the rounded figures CEA publishes did not move. If you reported FY 2024-25 at 0.710, there is nothing to restate.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads electricity bills into dated kWh records per meter and site, so whichever CEA factor and version you apply, each Scope 2 figure traces back to the bill and the factor behind it.
