# Whose scope is the electricity and cooking fuel at a construction labour camp?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/construction-labour-camp-electricity-which-scope

If the camp runs on your electricity connection or your genset, it is your Scope 2 or Scope 1. If the contractor runs the camp on its own supply, it is the contractor's Scope 1 and 2 and your Scope 3. LPG supplied for workers' cooking follows whoever buys it.

## Check

- Whose name is on the electricity bill or temporary connection.
- Who buys the genset diesel.
- Who supplies the LPG cylinders.

## Write it down

State in the contract who reports camp energy, so neither side leaves it out or both count it.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
