# How do I work out emissions from my sales team's travel across the country?

Use the travel bills you already approve: train and air tickets, taxi receipts, bus fares and fuel claims. Group them by mode, take distance or fuel, and apply a factor per mode. Field sales travel is Scope 3 Category 6 unless the vehicles are company-owned.

## By mode

- Air: origin and destination from the ticket.
- Rail: distance between stations.
- Taxi and own car: kilometres or fuel.
- Company-owned vehicles: Scope 1 instead.

## Keep it light

Start with the three biggest modes by spend. Small fares rarely change the total.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads quantities, dates and units from your bills and invoices and shows the factor and source used on every line.
