# How does a Jetpur dyeing and printing unit count CO2 from its boiler?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/jetpur-dyeing-printing-unit-coal-boiler-co2

Weigh the coal, lignite or wood burnt each month, apply its heating value and carbon content, and divide by metres or kg processed. Steam for dyeing and drying is usually most of the unit's footprint. Wood is reported as biogenic CO2, with methane and nitrous oxide counted.

## Records

- Fuel bought, by weight, with type.
- Electricity bills.
- Metres or kg processed each month.

## Per metre

Fuel CO2 plus electricity times 0.710 kg CO2 per kWh (CEA v21.0), divided by metres processed.

## Effluent

A common effluent plant's power and treatment emissions may be billed to you. Ask for your share.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads fuel, electricity and freight invoices into a dated, fingerprinted record per site, so each figure you send a buyer traces back to the documents behind it.
