# How does a guar gum processing unit in Jodhpur work out CO2 per tonne?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/jodhpur-guar-gum-unit-dryer-fuel-co2

Add fuel used for roasting and drying, often in hot air generators or boilers, and electricity for splitting, grinding and pulverising. Divide by tonnes of guar gum powder. Split between gum and meal by mass or value if both are sold, and state which method you used.

## Inputs

- Dryer and roaster fuel: wood, coal, LPG or PNG.
- Electricity for mills and pulverisers.
- Seed bought, for cradle-to-gate.

## Co-products

Guar meal is sold as feed. Allocate between powder and meal, and keep the basis the same each year.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
