# Is potash from Jordan covered by CBAM?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/jordan-potash-exporter-cbam-check

No. Potassium chloride sits under CN 3104, which is not on the CBAM list, so EU imports carry no CBAM obligation. Buyers may still ask for a footprint per tonne, built from the energy used in evaporation, refining and drying at the Dead Sea works.

## Covered fertilisers

- Nitrogen fertilisers under 3102: covered.
- Mixed fertilisers with nitrogen under 3105: covered.
- Potash under 3104: not covered.

## Blends

A blend that contains nitrogen falls under 3105 and is covered, including its potash share. Check the CN code of what is actually shipped.

## Footprint anyway

Fuel and power per tonne, and freight to the port. Buyers use it for their Scope 3.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible turns supplier invoices into a Scope 3 record with the supplier, quantity and factor behind every figure, so you can see which supplier data is still missing.
