# What carbon data do EU and US buyers ask Karur home textile exporters for?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/karur-home-textile-exporter-buyer-carbon-data

Usually three things: your factory's Scope 1 and 2 for the last year, the share from renewable power, and a footprint per product or per kilogram for the lines they buy. Many also send the Higg facility module. Build all three from the same electricity, fuel and dyeing records.

## Typical requests

- Scope 1 and 2 totals with method and year.
- Renewable share, often from own windmills or rooftop solar.
- kg CO2e per kg or per piece for main styles.
- Targets or a reduction plan.

## Where the numbers come from

Electricity bills, boiler fuel for processing houses, diesel for gensets, and the yarn and fabric bought from mills. Processing is often outsourced, so ask job workers for their energy.

## Keep one source

Use the same records for the brand questionnaire, Higg and any lender. Different numbers in different forms cause more trouble than a modest figure.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads electricity, fuel and job work invoices into a dated, fingerprinted record per factory, so the figures a buyer asks for trace back to the bills behind them.
