# Do tractor parts exported from Ludhiana need CBAM data?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/ludhiana-tractor-parts-exporter-cbam-check

Mostly no. Parts classified as parts of tractors or motor vehicles, under heading 8708, are not CBAM goods. Check each line's CN code: bolts and nuts under 7318 and some other steel articles under 7326 are covered, so a mixed shipment can still need embedded emissions for a few lines.

## How to check

1. Take the CN code your EU importer declares for each line.
2. Compare it with Annex I of the CBAM Regulation.
3. Flag covered lines and prepare embedded emissions only for those.

## Often covered

- Fasteners such as bolts, nuts and washers (7318).
- Other articles of iron or steel (7326), such as some brackets.
- Steel structures (7308).

## Often not covered

- Parts of tractors and vehicles (8708).
- Iron castings classed under 7325.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads your invoices into dated, fingerprinted records and its CBAM check flags which goods fall under the regulation. Senseible does not classify goods for customs or file CBAM declarations.
