# How does a Morbi wall clock maker work out carbon per clock?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/morbi-wall-clock-unit-carbon-per-clock

Share the unit's monthly electricity and fuel emissions across clocks made, then add the bought parts per clock: plastic case, glass, movement and packaging, each with a supplier or database factor.

## Steps

Energy: kWh x 0.710 for the month, plus any fuel.

Divide by clocks finished that month.

Add materials per clock with their sources.

## Bought movements

Quartz movements may be imported. If the supplier gives no figure, mark that line as a gap instead of filling it.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads the energy invoices behind the making stage into a fingerprinted Scope 1 and 2 record, and keeps material invoices on the Scope 3 trail. Material factors come from your supplier or a named database and are labelled with their source, so the product figure can be traced line by line.
