# What should a one-page climate policy for an MSME say?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/one-page-climate-policy-for-msme

Keep it short and specific. Say what you measure (Scope 1 and 2 from bills, Scope 3 where buyers ask), your reduction goal with a year, the actions you are taking, who owns it, and how often you report. Buyers and lenders trust a short policy backed by numbers over a long statement.

## The five parts

- Scope and boundary.
- Target and base year.
- Main actions, such as solar or a fuel switch.
- Owner and review frequency.
- How data is collected and checked.

## What to avoid

- Net zero claims with no plan.
- Offsets presented as reductions.
- Promises you cannot evidence.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
