# Should an unlisted MSME publish its emissions in its annual report?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/should-msme-publish-emissions-in-annual-report

It is not required for an unlisted MSME, but a short, honest disclosure helps with lenders and buyers who ask anyway. Publish Scope 1 and 2, the method, what is estimated and one clear action. Do not publish a figure you have not checked, or a target you cannot track.

## What to include

- Scope 1 and 2 totals and intensity per unit of output.
- Period, sites covered and factors used.
- Which numbers are estimates.
- One or two actions taken or planned.

## What to leave out

- Net zero claims without a plan.
- Carbon neutral claims based on unverified credits.

## Who reads it

Banks assessing green loans, large buyers checking suppliers under BRSR value chain rules, and future investors.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads fuel, electricity and production documents into dated, fingerprinted plant records, so the monthly intensity behind a figure can be traced to its source.
