# How do we count contract workers supplied by a staffing agency?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/staffing-agency-contract-workers-scope

Energy they use at your site is already in your Scope 1 and 2, because you control the site. The agency's fee is a purchased service, Scope 3 Category 1. Many companies include contract workers' commuting in Category 7 with employees; say whether you do.

## Where they appear

- Site electricity and fuel: your Scope 1 and 2.
- Agency invoices: Category 1.
- Commuting and company transport: Category 7, or Scope 1 if you run the buses.

## Intensity

If you report per employee, state whether contract workers are in the headcount.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
