# How do I count tipper truck emissions on a construction site?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/tipper-truck-emissions-per-trip

Record diesel issued to each tipper and trips made, multiply litres by 2.68 kg CO2, and divide by trips or tonnes moved. Tippers you operate are Scope 1; a hauling contractor paid per trip is Scope 3. Weighbridge slips give the tonnes.

## Records

- Diesel issue register by vehicle number.
- Trip sheets or weighbridge slips.
- Contractor invoices showing trips and diesel if supplied by you.

## Diesel you give a contractor

If you buy diesel and hand it to a contractor's tippers, check how your boundary treats it and apply the same rule every year.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible reads bills, fuel invoices and production records into dated, fingerprinted records, so the figure you send a buyer can be traced to its documents.
