# My factory has two electricity connections. Do I just add both bills?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/two-electricity-meters-one-factory-total

Yes, add every connection that serves the site, but first check none is a check meter on the same supply. Two separate consumer numbers are two supplies and both count. A sub-meter or check meter behind the main meter would count the same units twice.

## How to tell

- Different consumer numbers on different bills: separate supplies, add them.
- A meter you read yourself behind the main meter: a sub-meter, do not add it.
- A DISCOM check meter: same supply, use the billing meter.

## Keep it clean

List each connection once with its consumer number, so the same bill is never counted twice in a later month.

## Adding them

- HT connection: 42,000 kWh; LT connection: 3,500 kWh
- 45,500 kWh x 0.710 kg = 32,305 kg CO2
