# What is the difference between verified and non-verified data on Senseible?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/verified-vs-unverified-data

A verified record has passed Senseible’s checks: a quantity and unit were read from a document, a published factor was applied, and the document was fingerprinted. Unverified lines are missing something, and the gap is named so you can fix it.

Verification on Senseible is a data check, not a third-party audit opinion.
