# The verifier wants a list of the emission sources we left out. Why, and what goes in it?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/verifier-asks-list-of-excluded-emission-sources

Verifiers check that exclusions are small and justified. List each source left out, such as fire extinguishers, small refrigerant units or staff travel, with an estimate of its size and the reason. Keep the total of exclusions within the agreed materiality threshold.

## For each exclusion

- The source and its scope.
- A rough estimate of size.
- Why it is left out: size, data or relevance.

## Thresholds

Exclusions should together stay small against the total, within the materiality level agreed with the verifier.

## Review

Recheck the list each year; a source that grows may need to come back in.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps each record with its source document, fingerprint, factor and method version, so a verifier can trace any figure back to the bill it came from.
