# The verifier asks for production records. What format do they need?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/verifier-asks-production-records-format

Monthly output in the same unit as your intensity figure, from a source that can be cross-checked, such as dispatch registers, sales invoices or GST returns. Stock changes should reconcile. A spreadsheet is fine if it traces to these documents.

## What works

- Monthly production by product.
- Dispatch or sales records that match.
- Opening and closing stock.

## Cross-checks

Verifiers often compare production with GST returns or excise records. Explain differences such as job work or returns.

## Units

Use one unit throughout: tonnes, pieces or square metres, with conversion factors written down.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps each record with its source document, fingerprint, factor and method version, so a verifier can trace any figure back to the bill it came from.
