# The verifier raised findings on our emissions report. What do we do?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/verifier-finding-corrective-action-what-to-do

Read each finding, fix the cause rather than the symptom, and reply in writing with evidence. A misstatement means a number is wrong and must be corrected; a clarification request means the verifier needs more evidence. Findings left open, or material errors not corrected, can stop a clean statement.

## Common findings

- Invoices missing for a month.
- A factor from the wrong year.
- Units mixed, such as kVAh treated as kWh.
- Fuel bought counted instead of fuel used.

## How to respond

1. Agree or explain, per finding.
2. Correct the figure and show the before and after.
3. Attach the evidence.
4. Say what will stop it recurring.

## If a past year is affected

Restate it with a note, rather than carrying the error forward.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps every figure linked to its source invoice or bill with a fingerprint, so a verifier can trace a total back to the documents it came from.
