# A verifier is visiting our plant for our carbon inventory. What should we prepare?

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/answers/verifier-site-visit-what-to-prepare

Have the documents behind every number ready, the meters and weighbridge accessible, and the people who keep the records available. The verifier will trace a sample of figures from your report back to invoices, logbooks and meters, and check that what they see on site matches what the report describes.

## Documents

- The inventory, with methods and factors.
- Fuel and electricity invoices for the period.
- Logbooks, stock registers and production records.
- Calibration certificates for meters and weighbridges.

## On the day

- A walk through each emission source: boilers, DG sets, furnaces, refrigeration.
- The person who enters data, to explain how it flows.
- A quiet room and access to files.

## After

Expect questions and requests for more evidence. Answer them in writing with the documents attached.

## What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps every figure linked to its source invoice or bill with a fingerprint, so a verifier can trace a total back to the documents it came from.
