# Net-Zero engine

A five-step roadmap that converts a verified emissions baseline into sector-specific reduction tasks an MSME can actually execute, without hiring a consultant.

## The five steps

1. **Baseline.** Confirm the most recent verified Scope 1, 2 and 3 figures from Senseible runs.
2. **Sector benchmark.** Compare against the peer median for the same HSN cluster and country.
3. **Target.** Pick a near-term reduction (SBTi 1.5°C-aligned, 4.2% linear) and a 2050 net-zero year.
4. **Pathway.** The engine generates a prioritised task list — energy switching, supplier substitution, logistics consolidation, refrigerant phase-out — with cost and tCO2e impact for each.
5. **Track.** Each task carries a status, owner and evidence requirement; closing it consumes a real Senseible verification.

## What it is not

- It is not advisory. The pathway is rule-based, not generative.
- It does not commit the user to anything externally. Targets remain private unless the user chooses to publish.

## When to use it

Use it after at least one quarter of verified Senseible runs exists, so the baseline is data-grounded rather than estimated.
