# Sustainability can bring in revenue.

Most companies book it as a reporting cost. It can be five lines of income.

## 01. Bigger customers: Large buyers are starting to ask suppliers for their emissions.

Credible emissions data gets you through supplier reviews and into bigger supply chains and tenders. Since FY 2025-26, India's top 250 listed companies may report on their value chain. Supply 2% or more of what one buys, and you count as its partner.

Senseible fills the emissions questions on CDP, EcoVadis and customer portals from your bills and fuel invoices, and names the document behind each answer. [See your figures from one bill](https://senseible.earth/)

## 02. Cheaper finance: Measured data can make your loan cheaper.

Green loans and sustainability-linked loans reward businesses that can show what they use and what they save. Under ADEETIE, BEE cuts the interest rate on energy-efficient equipment loans by up to 5 points for micro and small units in 60 named clusters.

Senseible turns a year of your energy bills into a monthly baseline you can hand a lender or an ADEETIE auditor. [Check which green loans fit you](https://senseible.earth/green-loan-check)

## 03. Contracts kept: Answer the request before your buyer looks elsewhere.

Your customers may already be asking for Scope 3 data. Answering helps you hold the contracts you have. If you export steel, aluminium or cement to the EU, a buyer without your figures pays CBAM on default values, marked up 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028.

Senseible builds your CBAM and Scope 3 figures from your records and checks every one. An accredited verifier Senseible partners with signs off the CBAM file, or you send it to your own. [Estimate your CBAM cost](https://senseible.earth/cbam-calculator)

## 04. Carbon credits: The emissions you cut can be sold.

Solar, efficiency and better farming can earn carbon credits once the cut is measured and verified; biochar earns them on global registries for now. India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme now has an offset route, so registered projects can earn credits at home as well as on global registries.

Senseible measures the cut, keeps the evidence and prepares the verifier evidence pack and registry submission. An accredited verifier checks it and the registry issues the credits. [Find your route to credits](https://senseible.earth/carbon-credits-india)

## 05. Leaner operations: Every unit you stop wasting is cost and carbon gone.

Efficient machines, better-run equipment, smarter buildings and tighter operations can cut both at once. Cut 10% from a 5,000 kWh monthly power bill and you pay for 6,000 fewer units a year, and remove about 4 tonnes of CO2.

Senseible reads your bills month by month and points to the change that cuts most, such as power factor, a diesel generator or rooftop solar. [Check a power bill for waste](https://senseible.earth/calculators/kvah-power-factor)

## Bigger than compliance.

Reporting is where it starts. Winning customers, cheaper money and a leaner business are where it pays.

## Take the five lines to your next meeting.

One page, with where to start on each.

1. Bigger customers: Put a year of power bills and fuel invoices in one place, then answer the emissions questions your largest buyer sends.
2. Cheaper finance: Check that your unit is in one of the 60 ADEETIE clusters, keep 12 months of energy bills, and register on the ADEETIE portal before the audit and the loan.
3. Contracts kept: If you ship steel, aluminium or cement to the EU, compare your own figure with the default plus its mark-up before your buyer asks.
4. Carbon credits: Measure the cut first, with the bills or field records behind it. Then check whether the project fits the CCTS offset route or a global registry.
5. Leaner operations: Line up 12 months of power and fuel bills, find the biggest line, and fix that first.
