# CBAM supplier data template for Indian exporters

Canonical: https://senseible.earth/templates/cbam-supplier-data-template

The data pack an EU importer needs from an Indian installation for the CBAM definitive period, in one sheet: installation identity, CN code, specific embedded emissions, free allocation data, carbon price paid, qualifying parameters and precursors.

**For:** Indian steel, aluminium, cement and fertiliser exporters, and the EU buyers who request their data. **Saves you:** One complete pack per installation and year instead of a new email thread with every buyer, and no default values charged for missing fields.

## Installation

| --- | --- | --- |
| Installation name and address | Rolling mill, Raipur, Chhattisgarh | |
| Production route | Electric induction furnace | As defined for the product group |
| Reporting period | Calendar year 2026 | CBAM works in calendar years |
| Registered in the CBAM Registry | Yes, operator account | If not, the full report goes to each buyer |

| Specific embedded free allocation | From the operator’s report | New in the definitive period |
| Qualifying parameters (Annex IV) | Scrap share, alloy content | Product-specific, for example clinker content for cement |

## Precursors and price

| Field | Example | How to fill it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Precursors used | Billets from own melt shop | With their embedded emissions and verification reports |
| Carbon price paid in India | None | Only with independent certification |
| Verifier and report date | Accredited verifier, after year end | |

## For the EU buyer

| Field | Example | How to fill it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Declarant EORI number | DE1234567890123 | Needed to share data through the Registry |
| Tonnes imported from this installation | 1,200 t | |
| Data received by | 31 May 2027 | Annual declaration is due by 30 September 2027 |

## How to use it

1. **Identify the installation:** Name, address, production route and the calendar year the figures cover.
2. **List each good by CN code:** Eight-digit CN code with specific direct emissions per tonne and, where in scope, indirect.
3. **Add free allocation, price and parameters:** Specific embedded free allocation, any certified carbon price paid, and the Annex IV qualifying parameters.
4. **Attach precursors and verification:** Precursor emissions and the verifier’s report, then share through the Registry or send to each buyer.
