Does ferro-silicon from Bhutan face EU CBAM?
No, not under the current goods list. Among ferroalloys, CBAM covers ferro-manganese, ferro-chromium and ferro-nickel only, so ferro-silicon is outside it. Bhutan is not one of the exempt countries, so any covered goods it ships would still need figures.
Covered ferroalloys
- 7202 1: ferro-manganese.
- 7202 4: ferro-chromium.
- 7202 6: ferro-nickel.
Still worth tracking
EU steel mills ask for alloy footprints for their own reporting. Electricity, reductant and electrode records serve both.
What Senseible does here
Senseible reads fuel, power and production records into dated, fingerprinted installation records, the starting point for the actual emissions your EU importer asks for.
