What must an ISO 14064-1 GHG report contain?

An ISO 14064-1 report must describe the organisation, period and boundaries, give direct emissions by gas in tonnes CO2e, biogenic CO2 and removals separately, indirect emissions by category, the base year, methods and factors, uncertainty, exclusions, and say whether it was verified. It also names the GWP values used.

Statements a verifier will look for

The report must state that it was prepared in line with ISO 14064-1, and whether it has been verified, with the type of verification and level of assurance. Behind it, a verifier working to ISO 14064-3 will want the records that support each figure: bills, invoices, meter readings and the calculation sheets. Check clause wording against your purchased copy, because the standard also lists recommended items, such as reduction initiatives, that are optional.

What Senseible does here

Senseible builds draft inventory reports from your uploaded bills and invoices, with Scope 1 and 2 lines tied to their documents. These are self-declared drafts; ISO 14064-3 verification is done by an independent verifier.
