Your buyer asked for your carbon number. Reply this week.
If a buyer, a large customer or a bank has asked for your carbon footprint, type the monthly units from your electricity bill and any diesel you use. You see an estimated annual figure in tonnes of CO₂ straight away, what the person asking usually needs, and a short reply you can send. No sign-up.
How the estimate is worked out
Annual emissions = monthly kWh × 12 × 0.710 kg CO₂ per kWh (India grid average used by Senseible) + monthly diesel litres × 12 × 2.68 kg CO₂ per litre. It is an estimate from typed numbers; a Senseible record built from the bills shows the factor and source for every line.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes, to start. This estimate needs no sign-up. The Snapshot plan is free and reads up to 10 bills a month for a bill-by-bill record.
Is the estimate enough for my buyer?
It is enough to reply quickly. Buyers and banks that check will want the bill-by-bill record, which shows the emission factor and its source for every line.
Do I need a consultant?
No. You upload the electricity bills and fuel invoices you already have, and the record is built from them.
Which numbers does the estimate use?
Grid electricity at 0.710 kg CO₂ per kWh, the India grid average Senseible uses, and diesel at 2.68 kg CO₂ per litre. The full product uses the same factors.
What if my bill is handwritten or hard to read?
An unclear number is flagged for you to check instead of being guessed.
Who sees my bills?
Your records sit in your own account. You decide what to send to a buyer or a bank.
