Monthly emissions register (Excel, with formulas)
A twelve-month Excel register for Scope 1 fuels and Scope 2 electricity. Type the quantity from each bill and the formulas multiply it by the same emission factors Senseible uses, giving kg CO2 per month and a yearly total.
For: Factory owners and accountants who want a carbon number before buying any software. Saves you: No factor hunting and no formula errors: the factors and their sources are already in the sheet.
Scope 1 fuels
| Field | Example | How to fill it |
|---|---|---|
| Diesel (litre) | × 2.68 kg CO2 per litre | BIOCOG_MVR_INDIA v1.0 (unchanged) |
| LPG (kg) | × 2.98 kg CO2 per kg | IPCC 2006 V2 Tables 1.2/1.4: LPG |
| Piped gas (PNG) (scm) | × 2.05 kg CO2 per scm | IPCC 2006 V2 Tables 1.2/1.4: natural gas, 0.76 kg/scm assumed |
| CNG (kg) | × 2.69 kg CO2 per kg | IPCC 2006 V2 Tables 1.2/1.4: natural gas (CNG, per kg) |
| Petrol (litre) | × 2.31 kg CO2 per litre | BIOCOG_MVR_INDIA v1.0 (unchanged) |
| Furnace oil (litre) | × 2.97 kg CO2 per litre | IPCC 2006 V2 Tables 1.2/1.4: residual fuel oil, 0.95 kg/L assumed |
| Coal (kg) | × 2.42 kg CO2 per kg | BIOCOG_MVR_INDIA v1.0 (unchanged) |
Scope 2 electricity
| Field | Example | How to fill it |
|---|---|---|
| Grid electricity (kWh) | × 0.71 kg CO2 per kWh | CEA CO2 Baseline Database, India weighted average, FY 2024-25 (0.710) |
How to use it
- Pick the month: One row per month, April to March.
- Type quantities from bills: Litres of diesel, kg of LPG, units of electricity. Leave a cell empty if you did not buy that fuel.
- Read the totals: Each row shows kg CO2 for Scope 1 and Scope 2; the last row adds up the year.
