How large is the ADEETIE scheme, and will more clusters be added?
ADEETIE has a total outlay of Rs 1,000 crore over FY 2025-26 to FY 2027-28: Rs 875 crore for interest subvention, Rs 50 crore for audits and Rs 75 crore for hand-holding. BEE plans a second phase of about 100 more clusters after the first 60.
Where the Rs 1,000 crore goes
- Rs 875 crore: interest subvention.
- Rs 50 crore: investment grade energy audits.
- Rs 75 crore: hand-holding and implementation support.
What BEE expects it to mobilise
- About Rs 9,000 crore of energy efficiency investment.
- About Rs 6,750 crore of MSME lending.
Phases
- Phase 1: 60 clusters across 14 sectors.
- Phase 2: about 100 additional clusters, based on learnings from phase 1.
- Each project is tracked with a unique project ID in the scheme's MIS run by the project management unit.
If your cluster is not yet listed
Ask your association to register interest with BEE, and build your baseline now. A cluster that already has audited energy data is easier to bring into the next phase.
What Senseible does here
Senseible keeps each unit's energy baseline from its own bills, which an association can use to show a cluster's energy intensity when it asks to be included.
