Senseible

Which scope is electricity for my shop inside an airport terminal?

If the airport bills you for your own metered electricity, report it as Scope 2. If power and cooling are built into the rent, it is still your use: get your share from the airport or estimate it by floor area, and label the estimate.

Common cases

Ask the airport

Request monthly kWh for your unit and the share of central chiller energy charged to it.

What Senseible does here

Senseible reads electricity bills (CEA grid factor 0.710 kg CO2 per kWh, CO2 Baseline Database version 21.0) and diesel, LPG and gas invoices (IPCC 2006 defaults) into a dated, fingerprinted Scope 1 and 2 record for each site. Intensity per unit uses the activity count you enter, and estimates are labelled as estimates.
