Which human rights topics does a BRSR value chain assessment of suppliers cover?

Principle 5 leadership indicator 4 asks a listed company what share of its value chain partners, by value of business, it assessed for sexual harassment, discrimination at the workplace, child labour, forced or involuntary labour, wages, and any other topic. Indicator 5 asks for corrective actions on significant risks found.

The six rows

Evidence for each row

Contract and seasonal workers count

Keep the same records for workers supplied by a contractor and for seasonal hands, not only payroll staff. Ask your labour contractor for their wage sheets and age records, because the buyer will treat them as your workers.

How this differs from the buyer's own table

Essential indicator 10 asks the buyer what share of its own plants and offices were assessed on the same topics. Leadership indicator 4 is the same list applied to partners like you, so the buyer's checks will mirror what its own auditors look for.

What Senseible does here

Senseible prepares the environmental part of a buyer's supplier file from your electricity bills and fuel invoices, with the evidence attached. Human rights records come from your own registers and policies.
