Senseible

Can I give my auditor or verifier read-only access to my Senseible records?

Yes. The owner or an admin of your organisation workspace can invite the auditor with the Viewer role, which reads records and reports and changes nothing. If the auditor should also mark records as verified and build reports, use the Carbon auditor role, which still cannot add or change invoices.

Viewer or Carbon auditor: which role to give

How access works

Seats come from the owner's plan: one team member on Snapshot, three on Essential, ten on Pro, and as quoted on Scale. The owner takes one seat, and the auditor and any pending invitation each take one, so on Snapshot there is no seat left to invite an auditor.

  1. Your records need to sit in an organisation workspace, not a personal one. The auditor sees the records of that workspace only.
  2. The owner or an admin invites the auditor by email and picks the role.
  3. When the audit ends, the owner or an admin removes the member or changes the role.

Keeping the audit clean

Separate who adds data from who checks it. An Analyst can add invoices and build reports but cannot verify, so a second person, such as a Carbon auditor or data manager, checks the numbers. A Verified status records that the rule checks passed. Any assurance opinion is the outside auditor's own, issued separately.

What Senseible does here

This page describes Senseible's own team roles. If you prefer not to add the auditor as a member, share the exported report and audit trail instead.
