Senseible

Who can validate and verify an India-Japan JCM project?

A third-party entity registered by the JCM secretariat. It must know the India-Japan JCM and be ISO 14065-accredited on ISO 14064-2 by an IAF member body, or accredited with the Indian Carbon Market and by NABCB, or a CDM Designated Operational Entity or Article 6.4 operational entity.

Three ways to qualify

  1. Accredited under ISO 14065, based on ISO 14064-2, by an accreditation body that is a member of the International Accreditation Forum.
  2. Accredited with the Indian Carbon Market and by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB).
  3. A Designated Operational Entity under the CDM, or an operational entity accredited by the Supervisory Body of the Article 6.4 mechanism.
  4. In every case, with sufficient knowledge of the India-Japan JCM, and registered by the secretariat.

What Senseible does here

Senseible is not a third-party entity and cannot validate or verify a JCM project. It keeps the energy and fuel records the entity samples, each linked to its source bill.
