How do I calculate CO2 per tonne of refined oil at an edible oil refinery in Kandla?

Add boiler and thermic fluid heater fuel CO2 and electricity, then divide by tonnes of refined oil. Deodorisation needs high pressure steam and vacuum, so it takes most of the fuel. Imported crude oil carries a much larger footprint in Scope 3.

2. Fuel × factor; biomass reported as biogenic.
3. Electricity kWh × 0.710.
4. Divide by tonnes of refined oil.

Crude oil

Palm, soybean and sunflower crude oils differ widely, and land use change can dominate palm. Ask suppliers for their figure.
