Only direct emissions count: anode carbon, perfluorocarbons from anode effects, and fuel for casting and anode baking. Power comes under a supply contract through the regional grid and is reported, not charged. Check the plant's current operating status, as its power supply has been under review.

Direct emissions

• Anode consumption per tonne of metal.
• Perfluorocarbons, as CO2 equivalent.
• Gas or fuel for casting and anode baking.

Electricity

Report kWh per tonne and the factor for the power actually supplied, from the contract or the supplier. Do not assume a national grid factor for a dedicated supply.

Period

Report by period operated. If production stops or restarts, say so.
