What CBAM figure does an EU buyer need for slabs from Pecém?

Slabs fall under CN 7207, so they are CBAM goods. The Pecém mill is a coke and blast furnace plant, so expect a high direct figure per tonne. Ask for a verified figure for the period, since an EU rolling mill will carry it into its own product.

What goes in

For the rolling mill

When slabs are rolled in the EU, the importer reports the slab as the CBAM good. The roller later uses that figure for its own product data.

Electricity

Reported, not charged, for steel. Brazil's grid is mostly hydro, so indirect emissions are small.

What Senseible does here

Senseible keeps each site's fuel, power and production records together, so the embedded emissions you send an EU importer trace back to dated documents.
